Former MLC H A Rahman on Saturday revealed that he had received threatening telephone calls from unidentified persons warning him not to speak against Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Rahman stated that the calls had originated from 3 different places. The calls were traced to public telephone booths at Nizamabad, Bodhan and Dichpally of Nizamabad district.
Rahman revealed that the unidentified callers told him not to make statements against the TRS chief and also warned him not to align with Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The callers warned Rahman that he would be hacked into pieces if he did not obey the instructions.
The former MLC stated that the callers also told him that they were on the lookout for an opportunity to kill him.
Rahman said that he was not afraid of being killed, and he would not be cowed down by such threats. He also declared that he would stay by Jaganmohan Reddy's side despite the threat calls.
The former MLC later lodged a complaint with Hyderabad Police Commissioner A K Khan over the threat calls.
