In the context of the just-concluded Telangana Assembly election results, Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Nakka Anand Babu criticized YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for supporting the TRS, and said that the YSRCP and the Jana Sena ought to feel ashamed for celebrating the victory of KCR, who was spilling poison on "Navyandra".
Addressing a press conference at the Telugu Desam Party Office in Guntur, Nakka asked, "How can anybody support the TRS, whose MPs walked out when the TDP introduced a no-confidence motion against the Centre in the Parliament on the Special Category Status to AP? Is it not a crime?"
Differentiating between the TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP chief Reddy, Nakka said that while Naidu was struggling to develop AP irrespective of the countless bifurcation problems, Reddy was only seeking political mileage by shamelessly supporting the undemocratic methods of KCR.
He also said that Jagan, till date, had done nothing for the benefit of AP.
Claiming that the TRS and the YSRCP were in a tacit alliance, he said that Jagan, who always spoke about values, never said a word when the Telangana government changed the name of an agricultural university, which was earlier named after a great freedom fighter Acharya N G Ranga, to Jayashankar University.
He added that even when the KCR government dismissed the bifurcation act and locked all the institutions that were listed in the 10th schedule of the A P Reorganization Act, Jaganmohan Reddy never opened his mouth.
He cited other instances such as the one where KCR provided Z-Plus security to Reddy when the latter was attacked with a knife, and one where Reddy sent his party MLA to the TRS, to assert that the TRS and the YSRCP were in a secret alliance.
Saying that it was an open secret that KCR had taken the responsibility of protecting the benami assets of Reddy which he claimed were in and around Hyderabad, Nakka challenged KCR to come out in the open about his alliance with the YSRCP and the Jana Sena.
Speaking then about the unfair treatment meted out to AP, Nakka said that just the mere mention of the injustice done to AP by the Centre and one call by the TDP had led to the defeat of the BJP in five states. He said that the AP people would likewise not allow the "car", which had the YRSCP, the Jana Sena, the MIM and the BJP as its wheels, into power in the state.
