Drunken CI Hits Vehicle Seriously Injuring Driver

A Circle Inspector of the Hyderabad police driving a car at a high speed under the influence of alcohol today vehicles coming from the opposite direction and injured a vehicle driver.

According to the information received, CI Srinivas was driving the car under the influence of alcohol under the Bollaram police station limits. In the process, he collided with a vehicle coming with a load of vegetables in the opposite direction.

A Sridhar, who was driving the other vehicle, got stuck in its driving section and was seriously injured in the accident, and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

The local police rushed to the spot as soon as they received the information. A case has been registered in this regard, they said.

Srinivas is currently posted at the city's Command Control Centre as a CI. There are already six traffic violation cases against his vehicle. In the drink-and-drive test, it was confirmed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol - his reading crossed 200.
