Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today asked the people not to take any hasty decision while casting their votes, and to think wisely about the candidates and their parties.
Addressing a "Praja Ashirwada Sabha" in the Sirpur Kagaznagar Assembly constituency in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, the CM said that the people needed to think about the qualities and service of all the candidates in the fray before choosing someone to vote for, and not cast their votes on the advice of their kith and kin.
He also asked the people to think about the history, policies and performance of the parties that the candidate belonged to, and how the party would behave if it came to power.
At a meeting in Asifabad later, the Chief Minister alleged that the Congress had done nothing for the tribals since independence, and had left them to the wind.
He said that the BRS government had on the contrary made Asifabad a district, and also constructed a medical college, for the welfare of the tribals living there.
The BRS government had also named the district after the great tribal warrior Komaram Bheem, who fought with the slogan of "jal, jungle aur zameen", and constructed a Komaram Bheem memorial, KCR said.
The BRS government had also distributed podu pattas to tribals, KCR added, showing its commitment to the tribals of the State.
