BRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today predicted that Congress would not get more than 20 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections, and that the BRS would form the government with an even higher majority than in the past.
Addressing a Praja Aashirwada Sabha at Madira in Khammam district, the CM exuded confidence that the BRS government would be coming to power again in Telangana with two more seats than earlier.
"Madira is the 70th Assembly constituency that I have visited so far as part of the election campaign. There are only 30 more constituencies left. If I go to these remaining 30 constituencies, the Congress will be further decimated, and it will finally not secure more than 20 seats," KCR said.
The BRS president also appealed to the Dalit community not to vote for Bhatti Vikramarka, who is contesting from the Madira constituency, as the Congress had done nothing for the development of the dalits.
"The Congress leaders have merely used the dalits as a vote bank, and did not initiate a single scheme like Dalit Bandhu. If a scheme like the Dalit Bandhu had been implemented during the 50 years of Congress rule, the dalits would have been in a better position today," KCR said.
