The AP ministers' denigrating remarks against E S L Narasimhan since Revanth Reddy's arrest have irked the Centre, and its annoyance was conveyed to the AP CM.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday advised his Cabinet colleagues and other Telugu Desam Party leaders to refrain from making any derogatory or humiliating remarks against AP and Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan.
Even since the note-for-vote scam surfaced and the two Telugu states got engaged in a free-for-all slugfest, the TDP ministers and leaders have been targeting the Governor with denigrating remarks and comments. This seems to have irked the Centre, and its annoyance was conveyed by the MHA to the AP CM.
Consequently, Naidu cautioned his ministers and party leaders to restrain themselves and not make any statements or comments that would diminish the Governor and his high office.
Reacting to the charge that the TDP ministers were indulging in derogatory remarks against the Governor, AP minister Ravula Kishore Babu stoutly denied the same and pointed out that the Governor on the other hand was the one who had been humiliating them whenever they went to Raj Bhavan to make a representation against the TRS government and its leaders with regard to the alleged note-for-vote episode.
"In fact, the Governor pointing an accusing finger at me and asked why I had not issued a clarification to a media report published against me," he complained. (NSS).
