Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh today.
He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer at a function organised at Kesarapalli in Krishna district that was attended by PM Narendra Modi and Union ministers Amit Shah, J P Nadda and Nitin Gadkari among others.
This is the fourth time that Naidu has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of AP.
Jana Sena Party chief Konidela Pawan Kalyan was also sworn in, as a minister. He too was administered the oath of office by Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer.
Later, Kalyan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He also bowed before the feet of his brother Chiranjeevi and took his blessings.
The Governor later administered the oath of office and secrecy to other TDP, Jana Sena and BJP MLAs as ministers.
Former vice-president M Venkaiah Naidu, retired Chief Justice of India Justice N V Ramana, Union ministers Rammohan Naidu and Chirag Paswan, and several other national leaders from various parties attended the event.
Actors Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, Ram Charan Tej and others were also present on the occasion.
