TDP MP J C Diwakar Reddy stated today that he was withdrawing
his decision to tender his resignation as Ananthapur MP, and thanked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for providing water to his region.
Reddy had announced on September 21 that he was planning to resign as MP, ostensibly because he had not been able to do anything for his constituency.
It was possible to read a lot into that, and many people did. Including, as it seems to have turned out, the TDP boss.
Reddy made the withdrawal announcement speaking with the media after visiting the state secretariat at Velagapadu.
Known for his sarcastic comments, Reddy also said that YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy should quit politics now and just look after his businesses.
There was no chance of Jagan becoming CM any more, and he had lost his best opportunity in 2014, he said.
Jagan should now just try to emerge from all the court cases against him and live peacefully with his family, Diwakar Reddy said, adding that he was giving this suggestion to Jagan as his well-wisher.
