Ananthapur MP J C Diwakar Reddy made a sensational statement today.
He said that he would tender his resignation to his position on next Wednesday as his conscience was saying that he had failed as an MP.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Reddy said that he had failed to bring irrigation and drinking water to Thadipatri and also to widen the roads in Ananthapuram, and there was no meaning in his continuing as an MP.
He said that he hadn't won the election due to anyone's mercy but with the support of people, and that it was pointless to continue in politics if he could not help them.
He said that he would resign from his MP position on September 25 or 26. He said that he would send his resignation letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker.
He clarified that he was resigning only from his MP position and not from the TDP. He also made it clear that he would be along with party chief Chandrababu Naidu even after tendering his resignation.
