Cyberabad Police Arrest City Youth For ISIS Links
The arrested, Salman Mohiuddin, is an engineering graduate who returned from the US. He was allegedly going to Syria to join ISIS.

The Cyberabad Police on Friday arrested a 32-year-old youth from the Bazarghat area of Hyderabad for allegedly having links with the Islamic State of Iraq & Syria (ISIS).
The arrested, Salman Mohiuddin, is an engineering graduate who returned from the US. He was allegedly going to Syria from Dubai via Turkey to join the Islamic State (ISIS).
During his stay in the US, Mohiuddin came in touch with a lady by name Nicky Joseph, a British national and Muslim based in Dubai who had a fundamentalist leaning towards Islam, according to a press release issued by the Cyberabad Police on Friday.
"In 2014, after the establishment of the 'caliphate' in Iraq and Syria, Salman and Nicky started taking interest in the development of the Islamic State. They created various Facebook groups under pseudonyms and started attracting people who were interested in the ISIS. In the last week of October, when he was denied a visa by US authorities, Salman returned to India and continued his activities. During his stay, through the social media, he tried to attract local youth across the country with an intention of taking them to Syria and Iraq," the Cyberabad police said.
The police also claimed that Salman had intended to undergo training in Syria, and after returning wanted to indulge in anti-national activities in the country.
He has been arrested by Shamshabad Police vide Cr. No. 17/2015 u/s UA (P) A Act and the IT Act. Various electronic gadgets have been recovered from him. (INN)
