Bhagya Nagar Contractors Welfare Association members on Saturday pleaded with Chief Minister K Rosaiah to intervene on their behalf and restrain officials of the Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board from evicting them from their registered office.
According to Bhagya Nagar Contractors Welfare Association president Mohammed Ali Zafar, the Association has been in its registered office within the premises of the HMWSSB O&M Division No. III in Goshamahal, for several years now.
Zafar said that the Association has been paying the rent that was agreed upon, i.e., Rs. 2,400 per year.
The Association president also revealed that the state High Court has directed the Association to file a case in the Civil Court after the HMWSSB told the Association to vacate the premises.
Zafar claims that after the High Court disposed off their petition and before the Association could approach the Civil Court, the HMWSSB officials tried to forcibly evict them from the premises.
Zafar, on behalf of the Association, sought Rosaiah to render justice to the Association.
