Congress Yet To Decide On Alliances: Digvijay Singh
Digvijay Singh announces that the Congress party is still considering the issue of forming pre-election alliances with other parties.

AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh, on Sunday, said that the Congress party was yet to take a decision on having alliances with other parties in Telangana for the ensuing general elections.
Speaking to media personnel, Digvijay Singh indicated that the talks on having pre-poll alliances will continue till March 28, when the party proposes to announce the first list of candidates.
He announced that the Central Election Committee will meet on March 26 to finalise the candidates, and the first list might be released on March 28 after the meeting of the Screening Committee.
Another list will be announced on April 3 or 4.
Digvijay Singh said that the Congress was still willing to participate in talks with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi for a pre-poll alliance.
"Our doors are open for them," he said, adding that the party has not taken a decision on some seats while indicating that those seats are presently being held by the TRS.
He said that the party will launch an aggressive campaign in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh after the finalisation of candidates.
TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah, working president Uttam Kumar Reddy, Election Committee chairman D Sridhar Babu and other leaders were also present. (INN)
