Telangana PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Monday dismissed the reports that predicted a TRS victory in the elections.
Speaking to media persons after holding a district-wise review with Congress leaders at Gandhi Bhavan here, Ponnala said that the Congress would win with a thumping majority and form the government on its own.
He alleged that the TRS was spreading the false propaganda claiming its victory, to mislead the people.
He said that the TRS never won the seats allotted by its allies in 2004 and 2009 elections. He added that the Party was indulging in mind games, which would end on May 16 when the results would be announced.
Ponnala said that KCR would retire from politics and take rest at his farmhouse after the declaration of the results.
He also informed that the TPCC would conduct a review of the ZPTC and MPTC elections on May 10th, and of the local bodies elections on May 11.
Later, Ponnala, Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki Goud and Minorities Department chairman Sirajuddin participated in an event of sending a ghilaaf to Dargah Hazrath Khaja Ghareeb Nawaz at Ajmer. (INN)
