The All-India Congress Committee (AICC) has suspended former PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana on Friday on the charge of indulging in "anti-party activities", and the same was communicated to Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy.
A rumour has been doing the rounds in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh since last month that Botsa would leave the Congress and join the YSR Congress Pary on June 7.
APCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy said that the party high command had suspended Botsa for his anti-party activities, and that the party had taken the decision after speaking to Botsa twice.
On Revanth Reddy's "note-for-vote" episode, Raghuveera Reddy alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had played a pivotal role in the episode.
He suggested that the CCTV footage of the TDP office should be looked at to know whom Revanth Reddy had spoken with before meeting MLA Stephenson. (NSS)
