Demanding that the Telangana government order a CBI inquiry into the note-for-vote episode, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy said that it was not proper for AP CM Chandrababu Naidu to launch counter attacks on the issue of Revanth Reddy's arrest.
Speaking to the media at Indira Bhavan on Thursday, Reddy challenged Naidu to come out openly and confirm whether or not he had a role in the issue, advising the latter that he could not turn a clean man by indulging in counter attacks.
Finding fault with Naidu for asking the TRS on how it could field five candidates for the Telangana MLC elections when it had only 63 MLAs, Reddy questioned how the former had then fielded a TDP candidate when it had only 14 MLAs.
He alleged that Naidu was corrupt, and that he would get zero marks for his rule in Andhra Pradesh, but 200 marks out of 100 in corruption. He said that it was ridiculous that Naidu made the people take a pledge in the Nava Nirmana Deeksha on anti-corruption given his own situation and history.
Alleging that both Naidu and KCR were from the same school, Reddy said that the leaders were both provoking the people in the name of sentiment and division. (NSS)
