A decision on the formation of separate PCCs for Telangana and Seemandhra regions will be taken by March 5.
To this effect,an assurance was given by PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana when former ministers Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, Dr N Raghuveera Reddy, P Balaraju and Kondru Murali Mohan, the Chief Whip in Legislative Council (Rudraraju Padmaraju) and PCC Vice-President Gangadhar met him seeking clarifications on the party's proposed organisational set-up.
They asked Botsa to make it clear whether the same PCC would function or will there be two separate bodies for the two states.
However, Botsa told them to wait till March 5, and said that the Congress High Command will soon announce its decision on constituting separate PCCs.
Later, Anam told reporters that a clarification in this regard would help the cadre in working out a strategy in the Seemandhra region. Further, he said that a few suggestions were also given to Botsa for the party's manifesto for the next elections. (INN)
