APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy today exhorted the people of Bihar not to trust the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.
Reddy participated in a campaign against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Patna Express, which left for Patna from the Secunderabad railway station on Sunday.
He expostulated with the people of Bihar in the train to reject the NDA candidates in the elections.
Reddy and other Congress leaders explained to the Biharis who left for Bihar to exercise their franchise in the polling, that the Modi government was not honoring its promises of granting Special Status to Andhra Pradesh, and would likewise deceive the people of Bihar too with regard to the special package announced for the State.
As the Congress leaders were campaigning against the NDA in the train, the police entered the scene and arrested the APCC chief and his party leaders stating that they had no permission for election campaigning in the train.
The police later released them on bail.
The Congress leaders Raghuveera Reddy, C Ramachandraiah, J D Seelam, Pallam Raju and K V P Ramachandra Rao were aiming to go to Bihar for campaigning.
