Congress Ridicules TRS' "Fake Love" For Settlers

Lashing out at the TRS' attitude where the upcoming GHMC elections were concerned, senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao alleged that the ruling Party was dissembling its true emotions towards the "settlers".

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, VHR said that IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao's statement that he was ready to contest in the Seemandhra region clearly showed that the TRS was expressing "fake love" towards the Seemandhra people in Hyderabad for the sake of their votes.

Ridiculing KTR for describing the TRS as "Telugu Rashtra Samithi", the Congress leader said he would go to the Seemandhra voters in the twin cities and remind them of the TRS party's atrocious remarks against them before the formation of Telangana.

He also expressed concern over the fate of the Seemandhra population as there was a chance that the TRS would trouble them after the GHMC elections.

The Rajya Sabha member also said that nobody had forgotten TRS tactics of blackmailing filmmakers during the separate Telangana movement.

He also warned the TRS that his Party would release videos of the TRS leaders' remarks against the Seemandhra people soon.
