TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Seemandhra people in Hyderabad would have rights on par with the locals if the Telangana Congress came to power.
Addressing an NSUI meeting conducted in connection with the GHMC elections at Gandhi Bhavan Prakasam Hall on Saturday, Reddy made a range of allegations against the TRS.
He said that the TRS was erecting huge flexes with the money looted from the people, and that the TRS leaders were spending money earned through corrupt practices, for the upcoming GHMC elections.
He also accused the Party of taking credit for bringing the Godavari waters to the twin cities when it was the Congress regime that had done that.
He pointed out that the TRS had also reneged on assurances of reservations to Muslims and tribals, and that several engineering colleges had been closed due to the weakening of the fee reimbursement scheme.
TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka too said that the TRS, which had threatened the Seemandhra people in Hyderabad earlier, had changed colours like a chameleon for the sake of their votes. He also accused the TRS leaders of wooing other Parties' leaders with the tainted money that they earned through corrupt practices.
"Attracting other political Parties' leaders is nothing but political terrorism. And political terrorism is dangerous for a democracy," he said.
Earlier, the TPCC Social Media Cell screened a few videos on the TRS leaders' "double standards" over Seemandhra people in Hyderabad. Marri Shashidhar Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, former MPs Madhu Yashki Goud and Ponnam Prabhakar, former Minister G Vinod, Women Congress Chief Nerella Sharada, and NSUI and Youth Congress leaders attended the meeting.
