The state government is planning to set up 30 new Rythu Bazars across Andhra Pradesh.
Replying to a question raised by MLAs R Surya Prakash Rao and Payyavalu Keshav during Question Hour in the state Legislative Assembly, on Wednesday, Marketing and Warehousing Minister M Mukesh Goud said that out of 30 proposed Rythu Bazars, feasibility reports of 26 Rythu Bazaars were awaited. These include the Rythu Bazars of the Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation.
Proposals for 4 Rythu Bazars are under examination, he said.
The minister said that currently, 106 Rythu Bazars are operational across the state, and that the proposed Rythu Bazars would be established after examining their feasibility and viability.
However, he denied reports that the government proposes to establish Super Bazars in some areas of the state. (INN)
