Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao today inaugurated a modern Rythu Bazar built at an expense of Rs 5 crore, in Sircilla town.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the Rythu Bazar would provide space for 223 traders at a time. Many modern facilities had been provided in the bazar which could be used for selling fresh vegetables. Despite the coronavirus cases and the lockdown the Rythu Bazar was completed in time, he claimed.
KTR said that the TRS government had turned farming activity into a festival in Telangana, with loan waivers, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, free power and other benefits. Even during the coronavirus crisis the state government had waived off loans of 5.6 lakh farmers, he claimed.
"And in the drinking water and irrigation sectors we started schemes that are surprising the nation," he gushed. "We completed the Kaleshwaram project within three years. And we will soon set up food processing zones to support agriculture-allied sectors."
