Telangana JAC chairman M Kodandaram asked the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao what action he would initiate against Janagama MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy,
who allegedly indulged in land encroachment in the Janagama / Jangaon district.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Kodandaram said that Muthireddy was
mounting pressure on the Janagama Collector Devasena Sri, who had exposed the issue. He promised that the JAC would stand by the upright Collector, and demanded that KCR, who he said stated time and again that he would not tolerate corruption, declare what action he would initiate against Muthireddy, immediately.
Separately, Congress MLA T Rammohan Reddy alleged that former Parigi MLA Harishwar Reddy indulged in land encroachment by registering 22 acres of land of the Somalingeshwara Swamy Temple in the name of his son Anil Reddy.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Rammohan Reddy alleged that Harishwar Reddy had also taken up illegal constructions in the land even though the Endowments Department had filed a case against Harishwar Reddy. He asked whether the Chief Minister, who had taken up a land record purification drive, would take action against his party leaders who indulged in land encroachments.
