BRS MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy today alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was speaking rubbish in the House.
After the Telangana Assembly was adjourned to Thursday, the BRS members walked in protest from the House lobby to the media point condemning the CM's "attitude". At the media point, Sabitha Indra Reddy burst into tears.
She said that the ruling party leaders had mentioned her name in the House but had not given her a chance to speak. "They ran away like thieves. Members of the House are being insulted. A lot of leaders in the country change parties. And what moral right and face do you have to ask me about my decision to change parties?" she said, and added that she had not changed parties but was thrown out from the Congress.
"Revanth Reddy has no respect for women. He told KTR that it was Sunitha and me who drowned him, and that the BRS would drown too if he trusted us. From Sonia Gandhi to Sabitha Reddy, the CM is speaking against everyone as he pleases. He has no respect for women. I don't even know what to say. We served the Congress even before Revanth Reddy joined it. Revanth Reddy said that Sunitha and I have cheated the party. My only mistake was that I asked Revanth Reddy to join the Congress. Women will give their lives to those who believe them. Today's humiliation is not just for Sunitha and Sabitha. Women in every house in the State are thinking about what happened in the House today," she said, and demanded an unconditional apology from Revanth Reddy.
