Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today reiterated his stance that the BRS was in a state comparable to a mortuary, but said that his remarks were directed solely at the party and not at its leader K Chandrashekar Rao.
During a discussion on the motion of thanks for the Governor's address in the Assembly, Reddy said that his mortuary comment was aimed at highlighting the current status of the BRS. He expressed respect for the former Chief Minister, wishing him a long life and a continued role in the opposition.
Responding to KTR's allegation that the Telangana CM was colluding with the BJP in the Centre, Reddy said that he was committed to maintaining a positive relationship with the Central government, describing the Prime Minister as akin to an elder brother to any State, and saying that collaboration between State and Centre was important for the benefit of Telangana's development.
The CM mentioned that he had made 32 trips to Delhi over the past 15 months and would be willing to go there 300 more times if necessary for the welfare of the State.
Addressing economic concerns, Reddy referenced a recent report from the Union government indicating a decrease in unemployment in Telangana from 22.9% to 18.1%. He attributed this improvement to the government's efforts in job creation and economic reforms.
The Chief Minister also announced plans for a comprehensive overhaul of the State's education system, and said that the plan included the establishment of integrated residential schools in 100 constituencies to provide quality education to underprivileged children, among others.
He also said that a new Osmania Hospital building was being constructed at a cost of Rs 300 crore, reflecting the administration's commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure.
Reddy also said that he had secured approvals for all large infrastructure initiatives, including the Regional Ring Road project.
Addressing the recent death of Telugu film producer Kedar Selagamsetty in Dubai, the CM said that he had gathered all relevant details, and would disclose them in the presence of BRS MLA K T Rama Rao in the Assembly.
