CM Orders Inquiry Into Shankar Rao Incident

The chief minister ordered the inquiry following complaints from several ministers that the police had behaved rudely with Shankar Rao.

Under pressure from all quarters, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has ordered an inquiry into the incident of the police taking P Shankar Rao into custody.

The inquiry will be led by Additional DG Krishna Prasad. The chief minister ordered the inquiry following complaints from several ministers that the police had behaved rudely with Shankar Rao.

After the inquiry report is received, action will be taken against the erring officials, said the Chief Minister. (INN)
