Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao conveyed his Ugadi greetings to the people in the state today.
The CM expressed wishes for the people in the state to live in peace, happiness and prosperity in the Sri Vilambi year. He also expressed his desire that the welfare and development schemes, and the programs being implemented by the state government, should reach the people, and that the state should march ahead.
Governor E S L Narasimhan, too, extended his greetings to the people of the two Telugu states.
The Governor said, "On this happy and auspicious occasion of Ugadi, the Telugu New Year day, I extend my warmest greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and to the Telugu people across the world. Ugadi is a festival of joy and hope, and the New Year will bring with it new cheer and a bright future. I am confident that the Sri Vilambi Nama Samvatsaram will usher in peace, prosperity, harmony and happiness to all people and all sections of the society."
