In an audacious attempt to actually transfer the blame onto Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the promised steel plant in Kadapa not materializing (a steel plant was promised in the AP Reorganization Act for the district, and agitations for it have picked up steam in the past few weeks with some top TDP leaders fasting over the issue), AP BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana today said that the Chief Minister was not taking interest in Kadapa district as it was the native district of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
He alleged that Naidu himself was creating obstacles to the setting up of a steel plant in the district.
Kanna said that the BJP was ready to release a white paper on the development of the state, particularly the Rayalaseema region, with the funds released and sanctioned by the Centre during the last four years. If Chandrababu Naidu was honest, he too should release a white paper on the development of Rayalseema region, he added.
Another BJP leader Som Veerraju asked why C M Ramesh, who is on an indefinite hunger strike for the steel plant in Kadapa, remained silent on the re-opening of the closed factories in the district.
