BJP national official spokesperson and MP J V L Narasimha Rao said that the Andhra Pradesh government was deliberately spreading false information against the Modi government.
Speaking to the media along with A P BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana, Rao alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was spreading canards on the Dolera and Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in Gujarat. The Centre had given merely Rs 1,293 crores for the projects, but Naidu was claiming that Rs 98,000 crores had been for the project, he said.
Rao also said that the Centre was providing funds for the Krishnapatnam industrial corridor, but the state government had acquired only 1,500 acres of land for the project when it needed to acquire 12,000 acres. Instead of completing the land acquisition work, Naidu was indulging in a misinformation campaign against the Centre, he claimed.
The Centre would also develop Visakhapatnam and Srikalahasti, he said.
Kanna Lakshminarayana alleged that Naidu was facing the people's ire as he had failed to fulfil a single one of the promises he had made before the 2014 elections, and was therefore trying to divert the attention of the people from his failures by attacking Modi. The Chief Minister was also provoking the people to cover up his own misdeeds, he said.
The Centre was extending all possible help to the Polavaram project, but the state government was indulging in irregularities, he also claimed.
