Government Whip in the Legislative Council Rudraraju Padmaraju on Saturday stated that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has been making "desperate attempts" to return to power at any cost.
Talking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office, Padmaraju alleged that Naidu "lost his mental balance after losing power in the 2004 elections".
He said that over the years, Naidu's mental condition has deteriorated to the extent that he has been trying to take credit for all the achievements of the Congress.
Referring to some of the statements made by Naidu during his padayatra, Padmaraju said that the Naidu had even claimed that the roads on which he was walking were constructed while he was the Chief Minister.
Padmaraju said that the TDP has no agenda for the people, and that Naidu's sole aim is to return to power at any cost.
Regarding the allegations against Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, Padmaraju described Arvind Kejriwal and Shanti Bhushan as the Bharatiya Janata Party's "Team B", and alleged that they were dragging Vadra into an unnecessary controversy in order to draw mileage. (INN)
