Won't Let Congress Leaders Into AP: Purandeswari
Claiming that the BJP was always sympathetic towards Andhra Pradesh, the BJP leader questioned Naidu's alliance with the Congress instead of with her party.
BJP Mahila Morcha president Daggubati Purandeswari said that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre had always been sympathetic towards residual Andhra Pradesh and had released ample funds for the welfare and developmental programs in the state.
Speaking at a program organized in the R&B guest house in Penugonda today on the occasion of the conclusion of the "Include Valmikis In STs" rally, Purandeswari said that the development works in Andhra Pradesh were happening with the cooperation of the union government, and added that the Polavaram project was being completed with the funds given by the Centre.
Stating that the work on the Polavaram irrigation project had been progressing for the last four years with the Rs. 9,000 crores given by the NDA government at the Centre, Purandeswari said that CM Chandrababu Naidu only talked about the Rs. 3,000 crores not released by it.
Questioning Naidu on his alliance with the Congress in Telangana, she said that the BJP would not allow the Congress leaders to set their feet in Andhra Pradesh.
