Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu is taking seizing every opportunity to highlight the damage caused by the Congress party's misrule, and also to insist that any development in Andhra Pradesh owes itself to his "reign". Naidu commenced on the Karimnagar district leg of his Vastunna Meekosam padayatra today from Ramadugu mandal.
Saying that the Congress' name has become synonymous with corruption, Naidu added that all the ministers are only interested in looting every penny from the common man. "All our troubles have been caused by the rampant corruption in the government. I ask the people to keep in their mind that, if the government is giving Rs. 200 to a poor man, it is stealing money from him in terms of lakhs of crores," said Naidu, addressing a crowd in Ramadugu.
Even as doubts float around about Naidu's intentions and opinions towards the Telangana statehood issue, he has been insistent in his demands that the Congress government clarify its stand before the all-party meet scheduled to be on 28 December, all the while reiterating that he himself is not against Telangana.
