The YSR Congress Party criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for "failing" to deliver an inspirational speech on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day.
Addressing a press conference at the YSRCP Headquarters at Lotus Pond, the Party's official spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said that Naidu's speech lacked clarity, depth and content.
She ridiculed the CM saying that during his two-hour long monologue, the Chief Minister had failed to address the actual issues plaguing Andhra Pradesh, and could not even use the word "independence" in a sentence properly.
Due to his own culpability in the Revanth Reddy note-for-vote scam, she said, the Chief Minister was in no position to exert any pressure on the Centre for the State's development, or question the Telangana government on its irrigation projects.
She also accused the CM of diverting State resources to encroachers, anti-social elements and foreign businessmen.
