Telugu Desam Party president and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu today returned to Amaravathi after being stuck in Hyderabad for two months due to the lockdown.
TDP leaders and activists welcomed him at the Garikapadu checkpost on the AP border, and also at several other places enroute.
Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh finally reached their residence at Amaravathi after all the welcomes.
Earlier, Naidu deferred his travel to visit Visakhapatanam to condole the victims of the LG Polymers gas leakage incident. Since AP has yet to begin air travel, Naidu preferred to go by road to Amaravathi from Hyderabad.
The TDP chief is to address the party leaders to mark Mahanadu on May 27 and 28.
