Film actor Nandamuri Balakrishna on Wednesday stated that TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu has had a clean image right from the beginning, and that
probes and enquiries sought by his opponents are not new to him.
Speaking to reporters at Rajahmundry, which he is visiting in connection with a 2-day medical camp being held under the aegis of NTR Charitable Trust from 19 November, Balakrishna said that Chandrababu Naidu has faced 26 different enquiries during YSR's regime as the Chief Minister, and that yet, nothing has been proved against him.
He said that allegations are being levelled against Naidu by his political opponents in order defame him.
Balakrishna said that Naidu always believed in clean and healthy politics, and that he had never made derogatory comments against his rivals in his political career of over 25 years.
He also denied allegations levelled by Pulivendula MLA Y S Vijayamma that Naidu had misused his official position and accumulated thousands of crores assets illegally.
He alleged that Y S Vijayamma had filed the petition in the court only in order to take political revenge on Naidu.
Balakrishna, meanwhile, appealed to people to avail themselves of the free medical camp being conducted in Rajahmundry. (INN)
