Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud today announced a Chalo Raj Bhavan program to protest against the Adani issue.
The protest march is scheduled to begin at 11 am on December 18, starting from the Indira Gandhi statue on Necklace Road and proceeding to the Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers, AICC in-charge Deepa Dasmunsi, MLAs, MLCs and senior leaders are expected to participate in the protest.
Goud alleged that the financial irregularities industrialist Gautam Adani has been charged with in the US had tarnished the reputation of the country's business and financial sectors. He accused Adani of corruption, fraud, money laundering, market manipulation and other criminal activities, and said that these activities had damaged India's global image.
The TPCC president also criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly shielding Adani.
