Congress leaders today held a Chalo Raj Bhavan program, in response to an AICC call slamming the "anti-people policies" of the Narendra Modi government.
Congress leaders and activists today held a "Chalo Raj Bhavan" program, which was organised following a call by the AICC slamming the "anti-people policies" of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government.
Scores of senior leaders of the party came out of their houses to take part in the program. But the police arrested several of them including CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and party MLA Seethakka who were taken to the Goshamahal police station.
The police also arrested former PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah at the Raj Bhavan and took him to the Punjagutta police station.
They also arrested other party leaders including Nadeem Javeed, Rohit Choudhary and TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikramarka alleged that PM Modi was handing over the assets of the country to his corporate friends. He said that the Hiedenberg report had shaken the entire country and had exposed Modi's friend Gautam Adani, and that the Congress was fighting for the protection of the wealth of the country.
