Telangana Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to demonetize the 500 and 1,000 notes was executed inefficiently.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Reddy said that poor people, middle-class, farmers and small businessmen were being troubled unnecessarily due to the abolition of the big notes and due to the lack of any sort of prior immunity for the middle and the lower classes of the society.
He also slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao saying that the people of Telangana were expecting a lot from the latter's visit to Delhi, but have been disappointed as the issue has been left unresolved at Delhi. The Chief Minister did nothing but submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister, he claimed.
The Centre was also troubling the common man by not immunizing them to the aftermath of the ban, he alleged.
He demanded that the Centre immediately resolve the problem.
