Congress Claims Demonetization Kills State Economy

Telangana Congress MLC P Sudhakar Reddy claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the general public face brunt of crimes committed by a few.

Adding heft to the Opposition's voice against the demonetization of the 500 and 1,000 currency bills, Telangana Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the general public face brunt of crimes committed by a few.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, Reddy described the demonetization of big notes as "murder of democracy". The State's economy fell due to Modi's decision, he alleged.

Poor people, farmers, small time businessmen and other sections of Society were facing lots of hardships with the banning of the high value notes.

He demanded that the Prime Minister show an alternative to nab black money hoarders, and solve the problems of the common man.
