Bursting Of Crackers Banned In City
As per the Supreme Court directions, there will be a ban on bursting sound-emitting firecrackers on public roads and public places between 10 pm and 6 am.
City Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy today prohibited the bursting of fireworks/crackers on roads and at public places during Deepavali - from 6 am on October 17 to 6 am on October 20.
Reddy said that in accordance with the direction of the Supreme Court, there would be a complete ban on bursting sound-emitting firecrackers on public roads and public places in the twin cities between 10 pm and 6 am.
The noise level from crackers, drums and other instruments between 6 am and 10 pm should not exceed the permissible limits notified by the Pollution Control Board, he said.
