Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the BRS had hatched a conspiracy using the issue of free electricity to farmers to dilute the Satyagraha Deeksha program of his party being held across the State on Wednesday to protest the disqualification of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
He said that the politics of the ruling party once again proved that it was the B-team of the BJP.
The TPCC chief, who returned from the US after attending the ongoing TANA conference there, responded on the issue on Twitter.
He alleged that the BRS was misrepresent his comments on free electricity to divert the attention of the people from the Congress' upcoming satyagraha.
"The BRS is deceiving the farmers in the name of 24-hour free electricity. If you go to any sub-station, you will find out that not even 12 hours of free quality electricity is being provided. In the nine years since the BRS came to power, KCR is credited with having plunged the power companies into debts of Rs 60,000 crore and sacrificing them for carrying out his corruption," Reddy said.
He called upon the Congress workers to burn the effigy of KCR at all sub-stations in all mandal centres across the State to protest the State government's "frauds".
