The budget session of the Telangana Assembly is set to commence on March 12, and former Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao is expected to attend, marking his presence in the House as the Leader of Opposition for practically the first time.
Ahead of the session, KCR will chair a BRS Legislature Party meeting at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday at 1 pm, where he is likely to strategise with party MLAs on their approach in the Assembly.
The BRS chief has already said that his party had given the Congress government enough time and that he would to expose its failures on issues affecting the people.
According to sources, the session is expected to continue until March 27. However, the exact date for the presentation of the annual budget remains unclear. The duration of the discussions on various budgetary allocations is also yet to be confirmed.
With the budget session around the corner, political observers anticipate an aggressive stance from the BRS in the Assembly, setting the stage for heated debates in the House.
Meanwhile, the BRS is preparing to mark 24 years of its existence on April 27, entering its 25th year. KCR is planning a massive public gathering in Hyderabad or Warangal as part of the party's silver jubilee celebrations.
BRS working president K T Rama Rao has already announced that the party delegates' meeting would be held in Hyderabad on April 10.
As per reports, though the BRS was in power for a decade, its organisational strength has weakened post the electoral defeat. In response, KCR is reportedly focused on revamping the party structure, forming new committees, and strengthening affiliated units to reinvigorate the party at the grassroots level.
