Condemning the allegations of both the BJP and the Congress that his party was a B-team of their respective opponents, BRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said that there was no need for his party to align with a national party secretly.
Addressing a public meeting at Sarkoli in Maharashtra today, KCR said that ever since the BRS entered Maharashtra politics four months back, both the Congress and the BJP leaders were levelling baseless remarks against his party, with the Congress calling that the BRS a B-team of the BJP and the BJP calling the BRS the B-team of the Congress.
"I don't know where these teams are coming from. We are not a team of either party. We are a team of farmers, backward classes, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, as well as of all the weaker sections of this country," KCR waxed.
He added that the BRS wouldn't confine itself to Maharashtra, and that it would be extended to the entire country in the days to come. He also said that the BRS was the only party that announced "Ab Ki Bar, Kisan Sarkar".
With over 60% of the population in Maharashtra comprising farmers and workers, and with them increasingly extending support to the BRS, fear had started among both the BJP and the Congress parties, and the leaders of these parties were levelling baseless remarks against his party, KCR claimed.
