Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka alleged today that a deliberate, malicious campaign had been targeting Hyderabad's development projects over recent months.
Speaking at the Property Show organized by NEREDCO at Hitex, Vikramarka said, "Hyderabad belongs to all of us; it is a jewel in India's crown and an emerging global city. The State government is committed to large-scale development of Hyderabad."
"The Chief Minister and the government are resolute in ensuring a better life for those displaced by the Musi river projects. Residential towers will be constructed in the same area with all essential facilities, and integrated schools will serve the children of displaced families. Additionally, women in DWCRA groups will receive interest-free loans totaling Rs 1,000 crore, and small-scale units will be established to create job opportunities," he added.
He said that Rs 10,000 crore had been allocated to enhance infrastructure, including flyovers, underpasses and drainage systems, aimed at attracting real estate developers from around the world.
"Drinking water is being supplied from the Godavari, Krishna and Manjira rivers, effectively eliminating water scarcity issues. The Outer Ring Road has become a landmark in India, and Hyderabad boasts an international airport, multi-specialty hospitals, and esteemed institutions like JNTU and IIIT. The government is committed to further developing these for future generations," he said.
Vikramarka also detailed municipal efforts, including the sanctioning of 39 sewage treatment plants to manage wastewater, and spoke of major upcoming projects such as the Musi rejuvenation, the Regional Ring Road and the Future City development spanning 30,000 acres.
"Future City will feature a world-class university, a cricket stadium and AI hubs, with 15,000 acres designated as a green belt accessible within 30 minutes from the airport," he said.
"The future belongs to Hyderabad," Vikramarka concluded.
