CM Orders Probe Into Student Suicide

A Zilla Parishad high school girl student, Devarampati Esther Rani, commits suicide; in other news, a boy is chained by his teachers.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Sunday, directed the Guntur District Collector to enquire into a suicide of a ZP high school girl student, Devarampati Esther Rani, in Bapatla.

Speaking to the Collector over phone, the Chief Minister asked him to initiate stern action against the culprits, and also to send him a detailed report on the incident.

The Chief Minister also directed the Medak District Collector to enquire into an incident in which a boy, Mehmood, was allegedly chained, in Indira Colony of Medak town, for the forcible teaching of Arabic. The boy was released with the interference of a judge.

The Chief Minister asked the collector to initiate action against all responsible for the cruel act, and also to send him a report immediately. (INN)
