Principal Burns Students With Hot Rod

The headmistress of a primary school at Jamandlapalli in Mahabubabad mandal in Warangal district was, on Tuesday, suspended, for burning the hands of some students with a hot coal poker.
According to reports reaching here, the shocking incident came to light when the weeping students complained to their parents about the atrocity and showed them the scars.
The furious parents marched up to the school and accosted the principal over the incident. The headmistress defended herself by saying that the 'branding' was done as a disciplinary measure.

The explanation did not satisfy the furious parents, who raised slogans against the principal and proceeded to the office of the District Education Officer, where they staged a dharna. They also lodged a compliant with the DEO over the 'disciplinary' measures adopted by the headmaster.
The DEO suspended the headmaster after a preliminary inquiry.
