BJP leader and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay today expressed support for actor Allu Arjun in the Sandhya theatre incident of December 4.
He criticized Revanth Reddy's "attitude" towards the Telugu film industry, and said that Reddy's comments would harm the actor's popularity.
"Everyone condemned the death of the woman in the theatre incident. Everyone wished Sri Tej a speedy recovery and extended support to the family. However, it was shameful for the Chief Minister to make an MIM MLA raise the issue in the Assembly after it had been resolved. Bringing it up again like a film story is only creating further problems," he said.
Sanjay alleged that the Congress government was conspiring to damage the film industry in collaboration with the MIM. He said that the government should address pressing issues instead of defaming Tollywood.
"Have you ever visited the students who are dying from consuming poisonous food in the Gurukuls due to your government's negligence? Are you not responsible for rice with insects being provided in the hostels, and for the deaths of students due to snake bites?" he asked the CM.
