Telugu film actor Allu Arjun today released a letter urging his fans to refrain from posting negative content on the social media, and also to stay away from those who did.
He specifically addressed those who have been posting harmful comments.
"I appeal to my fans to express their views responsibly and avoid sharing content that personally defames anyone. Action will be taken against those who have been posting under fake IDs and profiles in recent days, disguising themselves as fans. I advise my fans to stay away from those who are posting negative content," he wrote.
He also urged his fans to act responsibly not only online but also offline.
For context, a stampede occurred at the Sandhya theatre on December 4 during the premiere of
Pushpa 2, eventually resulting in Arjun's arrest and subsequent release on bail. Arjun's post today was made after reports that some individuals had created fake IDs to criticize the Telangana government regarding the actor's arrest. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also spoke in the Assembly about the allegedly defamatory social media posts.
