Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar today asked the CM K Chandrashekar Rao if he had given any license to his MLAs and their children to commit atrocities.
The state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar today slammed the Chief Minister of the state K Chandrashekar Rao, and asked if the CM had given any license to the ruling party MLAs and their children to commit atrocities against the people of the state.
Speaking to media persons at the Shamshabad-based Novotel Hotel, he alleged that the state was witnessing several crimes under the direct supervision of the CM, the latest resulting in a family of four members committing suicides after the atrocities committed upon them by the son of a TRS MLA of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
He asked the CM why he was not taking any action against the son of the MLA.
Anybody who committed an offence should face punishment, and a criminal should be treated as a criminal, Bandi said.
He demanded that the state government punish Vanama Raghavendra Rao, the son of the Kothagudem MLA Vanama Venkateswara Rao. He also said that it was unfortunate that none of the TRS leaders had condemned the "cruel" acts of the son of their party's MLA.
Bandi also condemned the arresting of people for making "objectionable" posts online.
He asked the police if the social media belonged only to the TRS leaders, and if the TRS leaders could make any kind of post but the rest of the population did not have freedom of speech.
He said that the law of the land should treat everybody equally, and demanded that the police release those who had been arrested.
