AP Takes Steps To Make P V Sindhu Deputy Collector
A Bill was introduced in the state Assembly intended to enable the government to fulfill its commitment to the badminton player to make her a Deputy Collector.
The Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Tuesday paved the way for the state government to appoint ace shuttler P V Sindhu as a Deputy Collector.
Finance Minister Y Ramakrishnudu introduced a Bill for an amendment to the Public Services Regulator Act in the state Assembly intended to enable the government to fulfill its commitment to Sindhu to make her a Deputy Collector.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that the state government was committed to encouraging and developing sports activities, especially in the rural areas. He said that the government was prepared to make the required budgetary allocations for creating the needed infrastructure.
Later the Bill was passed.
