Champion shuttler P V Sindhu today took charge as Deputy Collector in Andhra Pradesh.
The Rio Olympics silver medallist took charge in the makeshift State secretariat at Gollapudi.
Accompanied by her parents, Sindhu reached the office of the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) and assumed charge. She reported to CCLA Anil Chandra Punetha and later signed the relevant documents to formally join the service.
"She will be under probation for three years and undergoing service training," Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) Manmohan Singh said in the order.
